Physical Science completes the Middle School science sequence of building knowledge and skills needed for science in the Upper School. Topics in chemistry that are explored include the atomic theory of matter as well as introductory stoichiometry. Physics topics studied include motion, Newton’s Laws and the concept of conservation of energy and matter in mechanical systems. Students will develop critical thinking skills through creative in-class projects to solve a problem; they will also learn how to collect and analyze scientific data through various hands- on and investigative activities
